Our mission
The Australian Multicultural Community Centre (AMCC) brings culturally diverse communities together and supports people through practical community programs, community information and family-friendly multicultural events, so that everyone has a place to belong, take part and get help when they need it.
Who we are
AMCC is a not-for-profit community organisation run for the benefit of the whole community. We are based in Melton South and work with people and families across Melbourne’s west and regional Victoria. People of every background are welcome to take part in our activities and to ask for support.
What we do
AMCC's work is practical. We provide food relief and basic essentials to people and families experiencing hardship, and school supplies for children when we can. We run community sessions on women's safety, women's and men's wellbeing and domestic violence awareness, and programs that help young people take part and lead. We share community information on issues that affect daily life.
We also organise multicultural community events — festivals, celebrations and family days — that bring people from different communities and backgrounds together. Ticket, stall and sponsorship income helps cover event costs and supports AMCC's community programs and services.
AMCC is a community organisation, not a clinical, crisis or housing service. Where people need specialist help, we share information and help them connect with the right services.
